1. What does holiday package means?

It’s a product which takes care of your Flights, Hotels, Sightseeing, Travel Insurance, Transfers and Visa’s if required into one price. However it’s not necessary every Holiday package includes all above services, it completely depends upon the inclusion and exclusion of the package you are planning to book

2. What does Group tour mean?

These are tours which have fixed departure dates and Tour escorts.

3. Holiday Package needs to be booked how many days prior to the departure?

It is always advisable to book your tour well in advance of your choice to confirm your hotel and Flight reservations.

4. What does twin sharing room means?

“Two people in one room”

5. What does "Per person on twin sharing basis means?

This means, the rates are for one person in a room which is shared by two.

6. What does half-board meal plan include?

A half-board meal plan is inclusive of breakfast and one major meal - either lunch or dinner.

7. What does Full-board meal plan include?

A Full-board meal plan is inclusive of all 3 meals i.e. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

8. What about my Visa if I am traveling abroad?

Acon Holidays will provide you assistance for filling your visa however to grant you Visa is completely at the discretion of the Embassy.

9. What are the different modes of payments Acon Holidays accepts?

Cash / Cheque / Credit card issued in Qatar

10. How do I know if my booking was successful?

We’ll send you an email confirmation for your holidays booking.

11. What if I don’t get a confirmation of my Holiday Package Booking and my account has been charged?

In this case, you just need to call on our office on 974 44354355 and we will confirm your package offline if we have received your payment.

12. Can there be changes done in Holiday Package?

Yes, you can amend the package the way you want it wherever possible by calling our customer number 974 44354355 by paying additional cost or amendment charge if any.

13. Can I book travel insurance with Acon Holidays while buying holiday package?

Yes, we can help you buying Travel Insurance, you just need to visit our Insurance section and buy it online.

14. If I am booking holiday package, can I pay using multiple credit cards for one booking?

No, unfortunately we don’t have this provision to book with multiple credit cards online.

15. Can I book three adults in one room?

Generally most of the hotels allow guest to book 3 adults in one room by giving an extra bed, however we request you to always reconfirm with our customer support or hotel before booking.

16. Does a child traveling will be charged

Normally some hotels allow 1 or 2 children under 5 years complimentary sharing the room with the Parents, however if you require an extra bed for the child it will be charged. Tours on the other hand will be charged under child rate. Infant is free of cost for the hotel and tours

17. Do I require a passport to travel on an International Holiday?

Yes, you need passport with minimum validity of 6 months from the date of travel. Validity of passport may vary depending upon the country you visit. Also we can assist you in getting your Visa’s done. You just need to visit our visa section and fill in the inquiry form and we will take care of the rest.

18. What kind of vehicle will be provided for the travel?

The type of vehicle provided during travel would be mentioned in the travel details before you book your holidays. Vehicle type purely depends upon the group size and destinations.

19. What would be the cancellation charges if I cancel my holiday before departure?

Cancellation charges of the holiday package you are selecting would be mentioned in travel details. Also cancellation charges depend when you are cancelling the package and for which country/city you have booked for. We will advise you once your booking is confirmed.

20. If I am on tour and want to cancel my holiday, how much refund will I get?

If in case you want to cancel your services on tour, there won’t be any refund credited to your account.

21. If I face any issue on tour, whom should I write to?

You can write us on support@aconholidays.com and we will further investigate on your escalations.

22. Do I have to pay up front?

No. For most packages, we only require a per-person deposit to hold your booking. (The amount varies by package.) This deposit will be applied towards the cost of your package.

Your balance is due later. The due date will be shown when you book. For most packages, the due date is 30 days prior to departure. If you are booking close to the departure date (usually one that departs in less than 30 days), your final payment may be due within 15 days

23. Why are deposits non-refundable?

In order to offer you our tours & packages at such fantastic prices, we make financial commitments to suppliers far in advance of each departure date. These commitments are covered by your deposits and cannot be refunded should you cancel your reservation. We strongly recommend that you purchase our very affordable Travel insurance to protect your deposit in case you need to cancel or change your plans.

24. What if I need to change or cancel my booking?

If you need to make a change to your booking, please contact us immediately. After your reservation has been confirmed, changes or cancellation do incur a fee.

Changes:Fees & rules vary by package, but for most packages, a QAR 300 per person fee applies. Additional fees may be imposed by airlines, cruise lines, or our vendors, and we will advise you of the total. Changes cannot be made after we receive your final payment. 25. Should I purchase a travel protection plan, and how much does it cost?

We strongly recommend the purchase of travel protection for all of our customers to help protect you and your travel investment against the unexpected. Our basic plan can be purchased at any time prior to making your final payment. Please review the Travel insurance section for more information on purchase requirements.

A travel visa is a travel document which conditionally allows a person to enter or leave the region for which it is issued. A visa application in advance of arrival gives the country a chance to consider the applicant's circumstance, such as financial security, reason for applying, and details of previous visits to the country. A visitor may also be required to undergo and pass security and/or health checks upon arrival at the border.

2. Do I need a visa for travel?

It depends on your nationality some will get benefit from many favourable travel arrangements with countries around the world. For several countries, you will need a valid travel visa in order to enter.

3. Does it cost to have a visa processed?

It depends. Some citizen will get benefit from many favourable travel arrangements with countries around the world and the fee may be waived off. In other circumstances, one will have to pay for the visa.

4. How long will the process take?

This depends on the country you’re visiting. Some visas will be issued the same day; others can take weeks (or even months) to process.

5. What are the different types of visa?

- Transit visa- for passing through the country to a destination outside that country - Short-stay or visitor visa- for short visits to the host country - Tourist visa - for a limited period of leisure travel, no business activities allowed - Visa for medical reasons- for undertaking diagnostics or a course of treatment in the host country's hospitals - Business visa - for engaging in commerce in the country - Residence visa – for people obtaining long-term residence in the host country - Immigrant visa - for those intending to immigrate to the issuing country - On-arrival visa (also known as Visa On Arrival, VOA), granted at a port of entry - Electronic visa - The visa is stored in a computer and is electronically tied to the passport number; no label, sticker or stamp is placed in the passport before travel

6. How do I get a travel visa?

By submitting basic documents like: • Valid passport • Completed visa application • Passport/Visa size photos • Payment of required fees • In some cases, additional identification such as a driver’s license, birth certificate, or bank statement showing that you the necessary funds to complete your journey • Some countries require a copy of your travel ticket and hotel booking and Travel Insurance.
